It's an Eye Thing

So funny, for the last 7 months I have been having problems with my left eye and face rashes. I have came to the conclusion that it is even better if I don't wear makeup. When I do the rash really flairs up. I have always been the one to always wear makeup too, and if I don't I feel really bare without it. So not to wear makeup is really hard thing for me to do, but lately if I don't have to deal with the pain of the rash then all is ok. I have gone to the dermatologist several times and we have switched alot of the stuff around and still no outcome. Well at the same time half way around the world my beautiful baby girl is suffering with some sort of left eye situation too. The international medical doctor told us since her pictures were taken when she was 4 months old and she is now 7 1/2 months old the eye thing should be cleared up by now. We paid to have an update of information for her which will give us current information, and we will see at that time about her eye. If it is not cleared up we can work with the international medical doctor to get medicine for her when we arrive to get her.

The Call!

We got the call that we have been waiting for!! I received a call about 2:30 from our coordinator and I thought was calling me back about our fingerprint expiration date. Not realizing that it was really truly the call! I told her that I needed to get my husband and get home and that I would call her back in about 20 minutes. I was in between crying and jumping up and down. And of course I was red from head to toe. I left my desk in a horrible mess and jumped up and told my boss that I need to leave, I didn't really properly ask him but told him that I was leaving, so my bad.... I remember people asking me if I was ok to drive and also my dear co-worker helping me write things down! I was obviously a mess! Of course there was an accident in traffic on the way home. I called my MIL and FIL and my Mom, my SIL and told them that today was the day. I made it home to find my MIL and FIL waiting for me, they already had the tripod up and the camera rolling. I ran up and got my "The Call" sheet that I have been holding for 5 years and 6 months to write on. I called our coordinator and told her that I was home but waiting for my husband to get home and once he got home I would call her. And so then I called my husband to find out what was taking so long. He was on his way. He gets here and we settle in and make the call, our coordinator answers the call and then proceeds to tell us about our baby girl!!! We will receive the formal paperwork tomorrow via FedEx and then we will post some pictures and info here. I am so excited I don't know how I am going to sleep tonight! She is beautiful and 100% Absolutely Positively Without a Doubt my prayers have been answered! Praise The Lord!! Amen!!

Chinese Tea Celebration

Yesterday my MIL and I had a girls day out. We went to lunch and had Margarita Pizza, we did some light shopping or more like browsing and then we went to a Chinese Tea Celebration. The tea was wonderful, very clean tasting with no bad after taste. We tried White Tea, Jasamine Tea, Sweet Tea and another that I can't think of right now. My MIL and I both agreed the White Tea was the best tea. The White Tea was very clean tasting, the Jasamine Tea was very floral, and the sweet tea... well it was sweet. Very cool to watch Shang make the tea and to watch him do all of the pour was fascinating. I learned alot and enjoyed our day!

We made the cut-off date!

Today I stalled on checking the website I frequent. Why...because I was a scared of disappointment once again. Someone asked me at work if I had checked and then was moved to do so. I was extremely happy to find this post today.

August 21st??
February 17th, 2012
Two European agencies are reporting the cut off as August 21st. It’s an R3 for now, but won’t take much at this point for me to push it on up to an R4.
UPDATE: It’s an R5

So yes!! I can now say we are in this batch!!! And today is our 5 year 6 month Log-In-Date anniversary. Our Log In Date is 8/17/06. What a nice anniversary gift. Now on with the Presidents Day gift, a phone call please!!!

Possibly Matching...hmmmm?

Today on my fav-O-rite website there was a post that matching has possibly started, or perhaps because of translation that maybe preparations were being made to start matching. I was so excited I almost squealed! I was at work so I had to contain myself. It was hard, but somehow I made it through without squealing. So can you imagine how much dust is on our paperwork... it has been sitting still for over 5 years? Hopefully they clean off the paperwork as they go along. We definately don't want last years dust on this years file, now do we? ;o)

Sign Language in Mandarin

As crazy as it might seem, I am woking on learning how to use basic sign language and also the mandarin words for each. I have a My First Signs baby book with basic english words and I searched the intranet net for the mandarin pronoucation. I know the tones make one word mean several different things, so I am trying to memorize the pitches. It is without a doubt a hard thing to do. I thought if I could learn some basic words that possibly I could communicate with our little one, somewhat. We will see.

Baby Registery

We finally have a baby registry! Five years ago we started working on the nursery and five years later we are able to register for baby things that will fill the room and almost complete it. (It will be completely complete once we get our baby.) My SIL gave a day up with her family to come and help me. I imagine I exhausted her with all of my questions. She is full of knowledge with having the boys and knows what works and what doesn't. I learned alot from her. We had lunch at the Mongolian BBQ, we had raspberry tea and lettuce wraps appetizers and the bbq for entree. It was delicious and very filling. Since we don't know the specifics of our baby, we only did a partial registry. You wouldn't know that by looking at it, there is a lot of stuff on there. I guess for a little one you need alot of stuff. We also was able to do some miscellaneous shopping on the side, and my SIL got some really cool heels. Oh, I only wished I could wear shoes like that! They were sooo cute! I have a bad back and left leg, and I so wanted to try them on, but knew if I did I would pay for it later. I can do the 2-3 inch heels somewhat, but the 4-6 inch heel are a no, no for me. Thank goodness flats are in too!
