Shower Shopping

I met my very favorite cousin for some girl shopping. We were shopping for a dress and shoes for my first baby shower. My SIL is hosting the shower. We could not find a Mandarin dress. The shop that was in the mall has closed. (I must find another, when I have more free shopping time.) We found a really cute dress that is sapphire blue and some really cool heels. The heel are the kind that I really should not wear with the bad back and all. But they have a platform on the bottom so they are not as high as they seem. The heels are open toed in a nude color. I am so excited about these heels, the are smokin' hot! I guess we will see how my back handles these shoes. I did buy some flats that I can throw on and no they are not as smokin' hot, but they are cute! My very favorite cousin got some really cute earring and some Strawberry Patch Hand Lotion, that smells like fresh pick strawberries. It almost makes your mouth water smelling the lotion. It was so nice to spend some time together, we had a great time and I can't wait to do it again!

Happy Birthday Long Shi Chen!!

Monday, March 19th there was a Birthday celebration going on the other side of the world. Long Shi Chen turned 1 years old on Monday and her Mom worked with the wonderful Ann at Red Thread China to have this celebration for her daughter. Isn't that wonderful! They are part of our travel group, and we will travel together. The birthday girl has the panda bear and our little one is next to her in the blue. The baby in the back over our baby's left shoulder is traveling with us as well. I cannot wait to meet these babies and give them lots of hugs and kisses! Happy Birthday Long Shi Chen!!

The Happiest Mom and Dad on the Block!!

We got it!!! Not completely set in stone but we will know more on Monday. I was at work when the call came through right before lunch and of course it made it really hard to focus on work. My husband was bike riding and I couldn't contact him. I finally was able to talk with him after lunch. We are both over the moon excited!! We will finally be able to meet our baby girl!

This evening we have a visitor, nephew #1 is here to stay with us. We are so happy to have him here with us this weekend!

Busy! Busy! Busy!

We have had several rounds of paperwork to complete. The first was about 30 pages to read and submit about 10 pages completed paperwork. The second round was about 40 pages to read and at least 20 pages to complete. The third is at your leisure pace and we are working on it.

We have had doctors appointments to check us all out ok to travel. We also have our prescriptions, just in case we were to get sick. We even have meds for our baby girl.

A very dear friend of mine so bravely came with me on a shopping for travel items trip. The list was a long one, but I almost have everything on the list. There were a couple things we couldn't find, measuring cup from ml to tsp, plastic pants for a 8 month old, and something else that I cannot think of right now. We had alot of fun in the Carter's Outlet Store. We got several warm cozy sleeper and a few lighter weight ones. I figure the weather will still be somewhat cold when we get back and also we keep it pretty cold here in our house and also at the lake, so we are going to need some warm sleepers. And the good thing is that they are clearanced right now. My dear friend is all about the zebra print, it is their style. So we found the cutest zebra print with burnt orange color outfit and my friend bought it for the baby. It is absolutely darling and I can't wait to try it on her and see how she likes it! The baby also got a swimsuit and cover up, I was told we will have a chance to go to the swimming pool while traveling and swimming is great bonding time. So if figure we are going to need the suit.

We are working on a care package to send to Long Shi Yue. My husband is making the box to ship the items in. Since that is his line of business, he is making one with pictures of us and her all over the box. I have been emailing Anna at the Red Thread China to find out about how to go about doing this, and she has been more than helpful so far.

We have celebrated #1 and #3 nephew's Birthday's and this weekend we are celebrating nephew #2 Birthday.

We are so thankful that we have been so busy and the time is flying by. I think by next week we should hear something about our travel approval. Fingers crossed!!

Here are updated pics of our beautiful baby! I wish I could just pick her up out of the pictures and give her a big ole' hug and kiss! (Uh huh.. and more than just one too!!...my niece and nephews know all about that too!) You know their just so stinkin' cute I can't help it! She sure melts my heart!
